Current student Justin Tamashiro describes why he decided to finish his flight training at Guidance Aviation and what sets it apart from other flight schools.
I am really excited to continue my flight training at Guidance. I heard great things from my friends who were training here and I wanted to experience it for myself.
I’ve wanted to be a pilot ever since early elementary school. It was at the El Toro Air Show where I was first exposed to aviation and it forever captured my imagination.
Ideally I’d like to fly for Arizona Department of Public Safety because of their diverse operations. A close second would be Customs and Border Protection.
I heard about Guidance Aviation through friends while attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Some of my friends had decided to complete their flight training at Guidance and had nothing but good things to say about their experiences. I heard the culture here was very laid back, yet still professional, and very enjoyable.
I decided to finish my flight training at Guidance because of the reduced cost compared to other schools. Guidance’s program was short and simple where other programs required twice as long [to complete]. The organizational culture and friendly, family like atmosphere were also big factors in switching to Guidance.
Enrolling at Guidance Aviation was quick and simple. The whole process took about an hour to fill out the paperwork and make copies of required documents. Both staff and management were extremely helpful and readily available to answer any questions.
Finishing my flight training at Guidance has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.
They’ve provided an excellent training environment and really allowed me to discover myself as a pilot. I feel both staff and management genuinely have a vested interest in my success. Most importantly, Guidance Aviation made flying fun again.
